IQC Inspector Role-Medical Device-Contract

 Overview:

The IQC Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, first article and related activities. The candidate will utilize SAP to document Quality transactions as well as assist in compiling and trending quality data. 

 Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections of purchased parts and subassemblies  according to specifications or standards using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements.
  • Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing in SAP and on data sheets/forms as applicable.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  •  Handle materials in accordance to procedures and prevent mix-ups, damage or other adverse effects.
  • Communicate inspection results to engineers and others  
  • Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports when required.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Management team.
  • Perform Gage R& R studies requested by engineers and others 

 Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Minimum HS diploma and practical experience.  AA or AS degree preferred.
  • 3+ years Quality Control experience in Receiving Inspection is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a medical device or other related regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Document Practices. 
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance is highly desirable  
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
  • Proficient using microscopes, visons systems (e.g. MicroVu, Smartscope, Optical Comparator) and conventional handheld inspections tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, gage blocks etc.) 
  • Experience with CMM systems and electrical measurements a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently, prioritize activities and communicate well.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Previous experience with SAP preferred
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

JOB SUMMARY

•Responsible for ensuring company products are in compliance with internal and external specifications by performing a variety of routine and non-routine inspections and evaluations.

•Perform in-process and incoming quality control inspection activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Performs varied product inspections, generally of finished goods, components, incoming materials or new products, by observing, measuring and recording data prior to their release to the next processing step(s).

•Compares inspection results to defined requirements or specifications and documents differences found. Accepts, rejects items based on established guidelines.

•Compiles and inputs data and documents findings.

•Identifies workmanship defects and recommends corrective action.

•Ensures proper disposition of defective products.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

QA Engineer-Contract-Remote

Responsibilities:
● You’ll be responsible for running both manual and automated tests in preparation for software releases, ensuring high quality of our platform.

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer-Contract-Santa Clara, Ca

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Support manufacturing efforts with respect to customer product launches and sustaining activities

System Verification Engineer-Contract-Santa Clara, Ca

The engineer will manage and own projects, as well as support other engineers in test and equipment development activities.  The individual should have strong communication skills as they will work closely with engineers from all functional teams; including R&D, Systems, Quality engineering, and external vendors. The engineer will document the test equipment and systems in accordance with FDA design control processes (21 CFR820.30) and IEC 62304.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Design and develop test protocols, support other engineers in test development.

·       Design, prototype, qualify, and document test fixtures, equipment, and systems.

·       Develop software test scripts (primarily in Python).

·       Work closely with Systems Integration, R&D, and Quality engineering to ensure tests and equipment meets internal customer needs. Communicate plans to technical and non-technical leadership.

Qualifications:

·       B.S. in Engineering or other applicable technical degree required

Robot Safety Technician – San Carlos & Gilroy, CA

Role:

  • Primary role is to monitor, and if necessary, perform manual Emergency Stop of any robots operating outside their designed safety envelope
