Autonomous Vehicle Systems Engineer w/expertise in CANalyzer needed ASAP!-Contract-SF Bay Area

• Provide the initial issue triage for field issues
• Review the log data, investigate to determine the probable root cause
• Work with the issue owner to close out the issue
• Drive for decisions on interim containment and permanent corrective actions, as appropriate
• Document your work in the applicable JIRA tickets
• Work with issue owner to identify how this issue is prevented from occurring again
• Work with the issue owner and suppliers, as needed to communicate your findings.
• Report on issues identified, next steps, help needed and flag risks to program with appropriate mitigation plans. This includes supporting and reporting at working level and leadership level meetings

Qualifications
• BS or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Experience: 5+ years in automotive engineering
• Experience designing or testing vehicle systems (electrical, mechanical, HMI, dynamic, quasi-static, inspection)
• Experience with electrical architecture, network architecture
• Knowledge of vehicle engineering or software validation process, 8D, FMEA, problem-solving methods
• Excellent writing skills, organization, verbal communication, leadership skills, and deadline-driven
• Track record in managing multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
• Experience with CANalyzer and JIRA
• This role will be on-site at various locations in the Bay Area

Bonus Qualifications
• Electrical engineering or computer engineering
• Diagnostics development
• Experience with memorators or other add-on data logging tools for deeper analysis

Feedback:
• Any Vector tools experience (especially CANalyzer software)
• Automotive systems validation/troubleshooting experience
• Experience with resolving issues “on location” during vehicle bring-up/builds
• If have Inca experience, we could teach them CANalizer.
• Electric Vehicle experience is also highly advantageous.

Pay Rate-70-80/hr.
