Electrical Technologist-Contract-Livermore

Independent evaluation of the design and performance of components used for electronic motor speed controllers.  Independently determine methods, operations and sequences for qualification testing of products and systems. Proficiently document test data and results for performance validation and proof of concepts. Design and build prototype assemblies and fixtures to test and trouble shoot product performance. Operate and maintain test and fabrication equipment as required.  


  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience and training in a related discipline.  Five plus years of related experience.
  • Ability to independently apply the applicable discipline theory and principles for testing procedures. 
  • Experienced in building and testing electronic systems.  Demonstrated experience in electronic assembly practices and wiring methods.
  • Proficient with Digital Oscilloscope analysis, tools/software, Data Acquisition Instruments, function generators, frequency counters, curve tracers, and environmental test chambers.
  • Excellent soldering and rework skills, including experience with surface mount components.
  • Demonstrated expertise of mechanical aptitude.
  • Understanding of mechanical assembly techniques.  Proficient skills in small machine and hand tool operation. 
  • Principles of mechanical fastening techniques, sheet metal and machine operation.  Light sheet metal fabrication experience for making panels and boxes.
  • Working knowledge of ESD principles and practices.
  • PC literate with heavy experience in MS Excel, MS Word and databases.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous accuracy and well developed organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Essential Functions:

  1. Specify and perform configuration changes and maintenance for electric vehicle test beds used for engineering performance testing of products.  Specify maintenance procedures, and document test platforms with schematics and drawing documentation.
  2. Acquire, interpret and prepare experimental data for presentation.
  3. Perform functional analysis for the correct operation of the system in accordance with engineering specifications and design criteria.
  4. Design, build and carry out laboratory testing and experiments to prove or disprove clearly stated hypotheses.  Participate in this entire process from concept through reporting.
  5. Acquire and evaluate technical requirements for components, equipment and materials.
  6. Design, build, document and provide procedures for the repetitive testing of components used in new production circuitry.
  7. Provide design details where lacking and recommend modifications to designs as required.
  8. Compile and maintain data taken from test operations.  Maintain records and documentation using company computer networks.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Responsibility to apply a high level of analog and digital electronic circuit theory knowledge, principles of electronic circuits and fundamentals of electronic testing procedures.
  2. Responsible to design, program and operate computer based data acquisition equipment
  3. Expertise in the operation of electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies and digital device programmers.
  4. Perform analysis and debug embedded microprocessor based electronic systems.  Familiarity with use of emulators, logic analyzers and software debugging tools a plus.

Diagnostics Engineer-Contract-Foster City, Ca

The Position:  

Looking for an Diagnostics Engineer to drive the Design for Serviceability (DFS). In this role, you will ensure the service readiness for the diagnosis of our products. You will perform evaluations of component/system/vehicle level diagnostic and controller programming functions and tools to ensure ease of use/understanding by the Base Operations technician teams.  You will present comprehensive reports, findings, and opportunities to reduce cost, time, and motion. You will collaborate with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, and Prototyping to advocate for core initiatives that support the Maintenance and Repair optimization of our products. You will spend time with the field technicians evaluating the products and identify changes that will improve the overall serviceability and maintainability of our products. Through feedback from the field team, you will identify, design, and provide the diagnostic/programming strategy and tools required to maintain and repair our products. 


  • Establish relationships with Manufacturing, Validation, Product Development teams, to drive diagnostics requirements for every electronic control module and I/O. 
  • Evaluate electronic controls for part design interchangeability, HW/FW/SW compatibility, and bring-up requirements after replacement, in support of spare part and data file release strategy.
  • Collaboratively design, develop, and validate the on-board and off-board diagnostic test tools for reporting diagnostic codes/messages/alerts, associated I/O data parameters, and control functions for insourced and outsourced controllers.
  • Develop standardized technical requirements for controller programming tools and process flow.
  • Work closely with the Service Documentation team to develop diagnostic, programming, and repair procedures.
  • Support wiring system serviceability (bundle routing, connectors, terminals, retention clips, etc) and schematic development for ease of troubleshooting and repair.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to integrate components and electromechanical systems.
  • Participate in requirements definition as it pertains to service, availability of the product, and reliability and report significant deviations for resolution
  • Provide comprehensive cost/time modeling that showcases opportunities to drive product change that supports the reduction of cost or complexity of the repair. 


  • Demonstrated successful diagnostics experience on electromechanical systems within a product design, manufacturing, or service environment.

Quality Technician-Foster City, Ca-Contract

The Quality Technician will verify that receiving material meets our drawings and specifications. The Quality Technician will work closely with Quality Engineering and Quality Management to provide reports, charts, graphs etc. to monitor and improve product quality.

Fleet Support Engineer-Foster City, Ca-Contract

The Fleet Support Engineer on the BaseOps team will be actively engaged in the operational uptime of our fleet. The primary responsibilities include the diagnosis of complex hardware/software-related issues, interfacing with cross-functional engineering teams to drive resolution, capturing the troubleshooting details and placing them in the internal knowledge database, and generally being available to support the daily technical operations.


  • Point of contact for real-time escalation from technicians of fleet issues 
  • Document, amend, and maintain a troubleshooting guide for all technicians to use as faults are diagnosed and resolved
  • Establishing diagnostic procedures to expedite troubleshooting in the future
  • Historical review of vehicle/fleet data, parsing and interpreting vehicle logs and their physical implications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Automotive Engineering
  • Experience with low/high voltage circuits, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and how to safely troubleshoot
  • Understanding of hardware and software systems architecture, communications to support in an operations setting

As a Logistics Associate for manufacturing operations, you’ll be responsible for understanding and adhering to all warehouse processes, inventory accuracy improvements, building on best practices, and general operational checks and balances for our operations.


  • All warehouse material flow processes to/from dock to production/shipping via all transport conveyance methods (forklift, on foot, etc)
